MJF Featured Artists

There are lots of pathways to nourishing and nurturing our well-being. Movement is one of them, and art is another, and even better when the two can meet.

When we opened Moving Just Fine, we knew we wanted it to be more than a Pilates studio. Hence, our featured artists program. Every few months, we’ll host an artist’s work on our walls and in our space. Their pieces will be available for purchase, or you can simply admire them and let them move you while you move.

Erin Willett [she/her]

november 9, 2024 - january 26, 2025

Erin is an artist and change strategist. Her creative practice was rooted during her upbringing in the Subarctic, where she was immersed in the cultures of the Naskapi and Innu Peoples. These early experiences with the land and its People sparked a deep interest in identity, community, and belonging, themes that remain central to her work today. Erin uses storytelling and systems-thinking to create meaningful experiences that explore how people relate to each other, the spaces they inhabit and the systems they are a part of.

Throughout her career, Erin has explored and expressed in a variety of creative realms through graphic design, creative direction and learning experience design, as well as through her art. In 2021, Erin co-founded New Room, a group of impact designers focused on social and organizational transformation. As the lead for program design, she integrates her artistic sensibilities with strategic thinking, encouraging teams and individuals to embrace new perspectives and collaborate towards more conscious relational dynamics.

Erin’s art, facilitation and design work is defined by her commitment to fostering curiosity, courage, and a willingness to explore the unknown, first and foremost towards ourselves and ultimately towards others. Whether through her artistic projects or her leadership work, she seeks to build environments where people can come together, honour their unique lived experiences and identities, and co-create new possibilities for the future. This vision drives all her work and the intention with which she shows up to community building.

Tend to your inner fire.

Erin and Meaghan are teaming up to bring you a special edition solstice collab that ties movement, breath work, meditation, and the practice of making art together as an act of catharsis.

On the darkest day of the year, let's experience the power of being with our full emotional experience and holding space for each other through firey feelings.

Practically speaking, expect to move your body in ways that feel strong and sometimes even provoke a little anger and rage. Then release it through a guided artistic practice - some of it individual, some of it collective. We'll close the evening with some gentle breath work and meditation to soothe ourselves before we enter back into that dark night <3

My name is Erin and my life is my artform. I feel fulfilled when my actions and art reflect my truth and invite the same from others. I blend a life-long artistic practice with extensive facilitation and experience design expertise. I stay grounded by tree-hugging, karaoke, therapy and loving on my community. I am committed to unweaving the impacts of colonialism and white supremacy in my relationships and beyond. I am alive in this moment to design spaces of freedom of expression that help us all reconnect.
