Reformer Pilates

The reformer is not nearly as scary as it looks. The moving carriage works with spring tension to add resistance that can both support and challenge your body in movement. It's low impact and an incredible tool for building strength and improving mobility in a gentle way.

  • Beginner friendly. Nothing requires too much complexity or coordination. Safe and simple. No standing or kneeling work.

  • An all levels reformer pilates class. We’ll start to introduce more complex movements and you’ll experiment with balance work on the machine. Full body.

  • The jumpboard is a tool that allows us to really get into the bigger muscles of the legs, to muster a bit of a cardio experience as well as to work on core strength, balance, stability, and coordination. It’s honestly a really beautiful full body class that is guaranteed to have a fun playlist and high vibes.

  • A little more dynamic and flowy. We’ll start to introduce more complex sequences and move with a bit more flow. You may even experiment with standing work on the machine! Previous experience on reformer is suggested.

  • Advanced reformer - have fun! Previous experience on reformer required (we recommend a minimum of 10 classes).cription

  • A smooth flow that will challenge your endurance, balance, and coordination, but also provide gentle mobility work and deliciously streeeeetchy stuff.

  • This is the people pleaser of barre classes, with a twist. Barre class on reformer is a smooth flow that challenges your strength, balance, and coordination.

Mat Pilates

Our mat classes require nothing but your body and the occasional prop just to keep things interesting. We'll explore things like core strength, breath, spinal mobility, joint mobility, flexibility, and and and ... in a way that invites you to get curious about your own body and how it moves.

  • Restorative. Heavy use of props. Long holds. Slow start. Long integration period (aka stillness). No lyrics / chill music. Dark and warm.

What to expect: dim lights, instrumental tunes, lots of props and to leave feeling restored

  • A gentle blend of core activation and nice slow stretchy moves.

What to expect: a strong and stable start and a gentle relaxing end to class. A chill playlist.

  • A pretty classic all-access Pilates class.

What to expect: A nice smooth flow. Some background music. To feel sturdy and strong.

  • Something a bit like an “intermediate” class. A more dynamic flow. More complex movements. Maybe some props to add resistance or decrease stability!

What to expect: More challenging movements and sequences. A banger playlist to keep the vibes high.

  • A beat-driven Pilates ++ class. Our usual blend of core and stability work with a little extra boost to get your blood pumping and maybe even sweat a little?

What to expect: Music is louder than usual and movement is beat driven. Flow is faster paced and sequences challenge your coordination. Also, lots of lols!

  • The classical Pilates repertoire as taught by Joey Pilates himself.

What to expect: A set sequence that you can rely on, that way you get to worry less about the what and start to dive into the how

  • Literally nothing to do with the musical genre and everything to do with letting your ~*feelings*~ exist in your body and in the room. The playlist is guaranteed to include at least one banger and at least one tear jerker. Sometimes we roll around on our mats and sometimes we meditate and sometimes we do pilates and sometimes we dance a little. It’s a bit of a grab bag and it’s a really good time. Genuinely very good vibes every week.

What to expect: Slightly louder music. Dynamic ebbs and flows. Sometimes we incorporate some elements of Kundalini yoga, so we do occasionally chant!

  • No, you will not be reliving your high school gym class trauma. But we will use the squish ball A LOT. We will be playful and we will NOT take ourselves too seriously. But we WILL do actual pilates.

What to expect: Lots of use of the pilates squish ball. An energetic flow. Lots of pilates. Lots of fun.

  • Formatted like a HIIT circuit. You’ll move around the room to stations and repeat a movement for a fixed amount of time before transitioning to the next station. High intensity, low impact. Lots of fun!

What to expect: Fun tunes, lots of camaraderie, hard work, a feeling of strength and stability.
